A growing and profitable Automotive Supplier in Romulus, Michigan is in need of a Program Manager. We are looking for candidates with previous Automotive Program Management Experience and Stamping / Sheet Metal Expertise.
This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Vacation.
To be the interface between the company and customers engineering personnel on all stamped products & processes.
Be the point of contact for hot stamping operations on new model requirements.
Keep up to date on all customer requirements, technology developments and ensure compliance in both Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
Attend weekly program meetings as scheduled by the Department Lead and/or respective Program Managers with respect to new and/or current business.
Attend customer engineering meetings at the request of the respective Program Manager to assist with program specific requirements.
Prepare and lead all customer meetings at Manufacturing Facilities related to new model activity.
At the request of operations, assist with any customer meetings for the purpose of conformance to engineering specifications.
Coordinate all activities for tooling/process improvements on upcoming launches with the Engineering Director, Plant and/or Corporate Metallurgist, Die Tooling Engineering, Check Fixture Engineering, and Dimensional Engineering groups.
Develop lessons-learned documents
Follow-up on all deliverables resulting from monthly meetings.
Coordinate all customer requests for engineering studies.
Monitor all current/newly released engineering specifications related to stamping material and processing.
From engineering specifications: assist APQP, Die Tooling, and operations with developing/maintaining a standardized set of required testing methodologies and procedures.
Review conformance to Engineering specifications during launch.
Assist operations with developing and maintaining a procedure in which to set up process parameters during new die tryouts and validate product conformance to customer specifications.
Attend all new model tryouts to ensure compliance.
Audit all pre-production build and PPAP data documents before submission to the customer for conformance.
Drive any non-conforming data points to closure before submission.
Set up regular monthly reviews with a standardized format in which to present proposals of new process controls, testing methodologies, equipment investments, and R&D projects to the Director of Engineering..
Propose furthered education material/classes needed to stay current with hot stamping technology.
